Chapter One (or a part of it)
Ryan Tyler was an ordinary boy. Too ordinary for his liking, but it was OK. At least, the fifteen-year-old thought, reading "Lord of the Rings" Again, he didn’t have to fight any evil wizards and dark creatures. Sometimes a normal life was the best life one could wish for. But unbeknownst to him, Ryan's life wouldn't stay so normal for long...
It was early in the morning of the 1st September that everything started to go down for him. He had just arrived to London by train, and was searching for his aunt who was supposed to pick him up. Muttering a choice of not so nice words, he picked up his school things and started walking again. Ryan just couldn’t believe this - his first day in London, his first day in an elite school, and he was going to be late because of his aunt. This was when he heard something strange.

Curiously he approached the barrier and touched it. A solid stone wall was under his fingers, there was no doubt.
"Hey!" a voice suddenly stopped Ryan in his exploration. "Did you just see what we saw?" the voice continued. Ryan turned around to come face to face with a boy and a girl, somewhere his age. "It certainly seems so," the boy continued.
"But the wall is solid." The girl was also touching the barrier now. "How could we then have seen what we saw? It’s impossible, isn’t it?"
"But if you two saw it too it couldn’t just have been my imagination," Ryan answered. "Something really strange is going on here..."
"Yes, it certainly is," the boy agreed.
"OK... So what are we going to do now?" Ryan asked.
The decision, though, was taken from them. Because as soon as his new friends and Ryan himself leaned to the wall and the girl among them tried to catch Ryan and her other friend by their hands, they fell through the barier...
Less than 450 words, not counting the title... I really need to improve my writing.
